Jugular Filmes - Fernanda Ramos
Fernanda Ramos is a professional photographer and video director based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her work includes film, television, theatrical productions and museum video installations including the opening titles for the feature films "CafunŽ", "Mais Uma Vez Amor" and the television program "Interview with Marisa Monte". Outside the boundaries of the professional world, her experimental animations have screened at film festivals worldwide including Mexico, Australia, Israel, Germany, Canada and USA, winning the Special Jury prize at Gramado Cine Video 2006 in Brazil. Her work has been exhibited on MTV Brazil and at the Sonar multimedia festival in Spain, the "Selection of the best Brazilian Shorts of 2005" DVD and the upcoming "Programadora Brasil" DVD. Her work has gained attention in Brazil where she has been featured in interviews in print, electronic and television media including the Panor‰mica and Janela Electr™nica television programs. She is a sought-after speaker who participates in panels, courses and workshops. EarthShock: her debut visuals release on the SOURCE label highlights her intense, simmering, occasionally brutal color sense and delicate creative compositions.
