Re: EIKI LC-XT1 Theater Projector

I do a lot of visuals and projection mapping shows with EIKIs of that generation. They are pretty decent. Two of them stacked let me project clear, visible images even on red brick.
But good luck finding replacement lamps.

That setup is beautiful. What do you use to get the APC at that angle?

A note about eGPUs:
Make sure the laptop you get supports 4 lanes of PCIe on the Thunderbolt 3 port. Many laptops with Thunderbolt 3 support only 2 PCIe lanes.

Re: new laptop for best performance

Dual graphics cards isn't going to help you too much. Here's some text from Resolume themselves: Single computer with two GPUs This works in most cases. Keep in mind, there is always a performance hit by adding extra cards, and having two cards doesn't mean you can do twice as much. Quite the opposi...

Re: triggering effect presets via midi

hmm interesting, thanks. How would you make each the each event "unblock the desired Crop effect, and block all the others"?  I see that i can midi map the bypass button, but it seems to be a toggle on/off (rather than 2 seperate buttons for on and off). It seems like that would be diffic...

drazkers wrote: Sun Jul 29, 2018 08:54 How are you bringing RTSP streams into resolume? Virtual device or sending over ndi/sport from a companion app?
Mac: Bring up the RTSP stream in VLC, then Syphon it into Resolume.
Windows: Bring up the RTSP stream in VLC, then NDI to Resolume. <-- I prefer this way.

Re: Designer gone n00b VJ

I use that exact setup. No, like, that exact setup. I typically layer 2 video clips, 1 generative layer, and 1 PNG. At 720p I can run at 60FPS with all the effects I want. In situations where I only use one layer, it can run 1080p 60FPS with effects. Hope this helps! If you're going with an APC40 MK...
