Re: Remotely controlling Arena

There are two good strategies for this: 1) Use VNC or something similar to remotely access the PC 2) Setup Resolume on your control PC and your show PC, enable OSC output on the control PC and OSC input on the show PC, make sure the IP addresses are correct, and you should be able to have the show P...

Re: How to Match Source encoding DXV in Adobe?

I'm sure you know this, but there is an "official" HAP encoder for Adobe, and it is open source. https://github.com/disguise-one/hap-encoder-adobe-cc Perhaps you could look at how they get the Match Source feature to work? In general Alley has been great, but there are a couple of use case...

How to Match Source encoding DXV in Adobe?

So I'd like to re-encode a bunch of videos into DXV using Adobe Media Encoder (there are... reasons) and I notice that a couple of useful parameters are missing. When setting the video size, the default is 1920 x 1080. I'd like to be able to "Match Source" for the video size, since I have ...

Re: Converting MJPEG AVI to MJPEG MOV on MacOS?

aha!

ffmpeg with the "-c copy" option copies the video streams into a new container without re-encoding.

MJPEG in particular is a codec that is well supported across both platforms.

Re: Adjusting content for LED wall

Many LED wall controllers take a cropped section of the input signal, so that they might show a 640x360 crop of the top left of a 1280 x 720 video. This is done to ensure 1:1 pixel mapping without scaling. Things to ask: 1) what is the actual pixel resolution of the screen? 2) what is the dot pitch ...

Possible to preview the A/B crossfader buses?

Started poking around with using the Crossfader. I haven't used it in the past, but started working with someone who likes setting up stacks of clips on the A & B buses, and then mixing between them. My question is: is it possible to preview the A and B buses without showing them on the main out...

Has anyone bought anything from motionloops.com?

Was wondering if anyone had experience with motionloops.com

In theory, this looks like a good deal: https://www.motionloops.com/us/en/products/ml_complete/

Even if most of the stuff is a little stereotypical, a few of the timelapse & abstract packs could justify it.

Any thoughts?

Converting MJPEG AVI to MJPEG MOV on MacOS?

So I have a large collection of clips, encoded in PicVideo MJPEG in AVI format. I've been carting them around for years, they play back easily in Resolume. Now I need to do some work on them, but I notice that Adobe After Effects, Media Encoder, etc don't want to recognize their existence at all. I ...

Re: How DO you use Displace? One clip displacing another?

In case it is not clear, here's a video screen grab from Max/MSP doing exactly that. You can do it in After Effects too, very easily. I wish it were possible in Resolume, can't be too hard?
