Autopilot can be set for each clip seperated: you can chose the clip before to jump to the clip behind the "ignore clip" maybe some work but its possible ;) it would be faster to have 1 autopilot layer and 1 layer with the rest above it with the clips you dont want to play only with manual...

Looks like something usefull, BUT to keep it straight... either you map the globe in advanced output (square slice / make circel) OR do it with your content with an effect and then just output a plain slice (circle mask if needed) and dont disort it their... both togther will be a mess and not usefu...
