At the moment I'm using avi codecs, but am planning to to convert files to quicktime because I want to make some clips available for download, so It would be better If this is a format that could be us...

could even do a mix with lower res clips initualy, then when rendering replace those with super high res clips...

nice thing is that it's got "video in". good way to record clean mix footage if you have a second machine...
