Re: The 2013 Mac Pro

Any news on new Mac Pro? Is it compatible with Resolume? I want to switch from Macbook Retina (not enough power and connectivity). But expect some toubles because of AMD video and Mavericks.

Re: Resolume output from macpro inside pc

There are alternatives to TripleHead2Go (not a great device, had numerous trouble with led controller detection): Datapath X4 and vwbox-122.

Re: Resolume output from macpro inside pc

With Blackmagic (i tested thunderbolt devices) latency is up to 3 frames playing 25 fps video. Usually (90% time) 1-2 frames. Not a problem even for lipsync.
Sound also has a delay - something aroung 1 frame per 12 meters. So depending on viewr position it is possible that sound or video is behind.

Re: Midi Time Code Support.

Tested. Good: VDMX with MTC sync ->Syphon -> Resolume works fine. Bad: Not Every Midi Interface can send or recieve Midi Time Code. I had big problems on event with M-Audio Midisport 1x1. Does not work at all with MTC. MOTU Express XT failed to start on OS X 10.8.3 (everything is fine on PC with Win...

Re: Smooth playback - new topic

It is not Resolume fault. I have absolutely same problem with same videofiles in mediaplayers with enabled dxva. Somehow it is how current GPUs are working. To fight this i found only one weapon - performance: i try to get stable 55-60fps.

Re: Arena Crashing badly.

I had same problem with crashing. Autopilot+lot of jpegs = crash. Just running out of memory. Resolume is 32-bit and can use only 2Gb of Ram. You can try to purge memory with deck switching. May be it will help.

Re: Yes Morph is finally switching to Resolume, laptop help?

Also don't really see the point of paying $3k for a top of the line mac when I could get the same in a PC for less than $2K Wrong. You wil not get the same. Both hardware and software. You can not get 2 thunderbolts on PC-laptop, you can not run VDMX, Quartz, Syphon etc on PC laptop. And you can in...
