Different companies versions of the same codec.
Picvideo runs flawlessly on our pc's, and as a result never tried Morgans codec.

I've had similar problems with the 'browser pane' (ie the central column with files/fx/audio etc...). Our main computer (shuttle) has a permanent boot for VJing and runs pretty flawlessly, last gig I used it the whole FX pane was blank, with nothing listed, I believe it followed through to the files...

yeah sounds exciting, although more in Modul8 on a Mac than maybe Resolume - once you start outputting widescreen you will find some inherent restrictions in Resolumes design as it still really thinks in a 4:3 world, sure you can play and output the clips in 8:3 but you'll need to use scale/move eff...

Yes we've used it for the last 3+ years. Its great, lowest CPU usage and builtin deblocking other than its $28 price tag its the ideal mjpeg codec. When we did some tests in V2 we output the same file with the last 5 settings (15-20) and there was some variance in quility & file size. We ended u...

OK, last night proved to be a good test of the MacBook. Used a cheap and nasty scan converter to get TV out, and when setting it up, the card decidied the out put res was 768x1024 NOT 1024x768, a restart later and it seemed to be ok. Resolume crashed once, randomly. Not sure why. Another problem was...

I'm going to put my new 17" through its tests tonight. And yes there is no current TV out option so a scan converter is the only way to go for now. Interestingly when running a 20" Cinema display of my MacBook in windows I do get glitches on the (primary) laptop screen when just working in...

Improved Key/MIDI Mapping | Output Fade

Basically the MIDI/KEYBOARD mapping is a nightmare to navigate - 2 massive lists of assignable 'things' and of those things some aren't practile and others need to be there. These become more apparent when you actually using Resolume but as I was setting up my midi controller I realised these 2 thin...

2nd Line of Flash Text

It would be super if there was an option to include a 2nd input of text in Resolume. Either a new tab or just making room on the current text box for a 2nd smaller one (in the flash files prefs). something like rtext2 for the variable name in the flash file, so if it exists it gets written too just ...

Or buy a second, cheap PC. Unlike Apples, you can actually build a Shuttle based PC quite cheaply. You should be able to do it for about $US500.
