Re: Dual TripleHead2Go Digital SE

Since I'll be using always the same projectors with the same resolution, I would like to set them with the USB port, then once it's programmed, I would feed it with an external power supply. About the lenght of my cables, I need between 50' and 100' runs. I have 2 questions: - The best unit for my n...

Dual TripleHead2Go Digital SE

Hi ! I know that everybody will give me the advice to buy the Datapath x4, but like I said in another post, I don't have the budget for 1 or 2 Datapath. So, instead of buying 2 GTX 1060 card, I'm considering getting only one card (GTX 1060 6 GB) with 2 TripleHead2Go Digital SE. I know that some peop...

Re: New build, GPU choice

It seems to be some misconception about PCI-E/CPU lanes. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/462341-skylake-haswell-e-pcie-lane-misconception/ X99 and Z170/Z270 are not designed the same way at all. X99 CPUs has up to 40 lanes (28 lanes for a 5820K) Z170/Z270 CPUs has 16 lanes (all Skylake CPU) BUT...

HDMI to SDI, SDI to HDMI in WXGA

Hi !

I know that a WXGA (1280x800) (16:10 format) is possible over SDI, but not SMPTE-compliant. I would like to know if anyone tested ANY converter that would work with this resolution. I guess BlackMagic Design converter won't work since they tend to be SMPTE-compliant only devices.

Thank you !

Re: New build, GPU choice

I want to add that I read about PCI-E lanes. With a MSI Krait Z270 motherboard, there's 16 lanes dedicated to the GPU (so x8/x8 for the cards) and 24 lanes for the rest (this new chipset has 24 lanes instead of 20). So I would order a i7-7700 instead. So it look I should be ok with 2 video cards, a ...

New build, GPU choice

Hi ! I'm currently building a live media server for live shows with a i7-6700, 32 GB Ram, Samsung SSD M.2 (boot) + Samsung SATA SSD (media). I plan to use Arena with 6 WXGA projector (Epson 535w or Optoma W316ST) + a control (UI) monitor. I plan to use some HDMI to SDI then SDI to HDMI converter sin...
