is it worth converting to DXV if my files are now all indeo? has someone done this and recommends it because of noticeable difference in performance? I get slowdowns to as slow as 3fps on many different operations, including changing decks. Sometimes I get slowdowns when I simply select a new clip to play. I am on windows vista x64.

You can do all your conversion with the freeware program VIRTUALDUB. The codec you should use is either the new quicktime DXV codec from Resolume, or the Indeo video codec 5.10 for avi which is also free.
