Re: Wire share: RebelYourself Set1 V002 - Source

ah damn... this was an relic. I've needed every line to be in a different color while building the pyramid, so I can keep track of what I am doing. I'll change that. You can also send in an array of colors to one Shape Render node, array size does not need to match, you can provide 2 colors and it ...

Re: Wire share: RebelYourself Set1 V002 - Source

Hi Arvol, Could we also get those dividers to be collapsible like the internal Arena FX like Meta Shape, etc. That way we can have UI "sections" and if users don't want to use that section they can collapse it (having an option to default collapsed would be great too) <3 Yes that is what I...

Re: Wire share: RebelYourself Set1 V002 - Source

Also i see quite a few Fader nodes, most of the time they just control the opacity. Each fader node means an extra render pass, so best to combine them when possible or just set the opacity of the corresponding input in the video mixer. This will save quite quite a few render passes, moreover when t...

Re: Wire share: RebelYourself Set1 V002 - Source

Hi Cosmowe, Nice patch you made! Like it. We are looking into offering a way to add a divider to the parameters and also a way to group them. So that is definitely on our roadmap. Regarding your patch. One obvious optimisation i see is the way you render the 3d pyramid, you render all the lines sepa...

Try using the Curve node, it has all the curves build in that we offer in the Envelope editor of Arena.

Re: Wire: Add a LUT colour mapper node

A node purely dedicated for this purpose would indeed be useful. Any specific way you think this should work? For now you can use the Colorize node. The Colorize node can take a Texture as palette which will serve as a lookup. The Luminance of each pixel will be mapped against the palette. See attac...

Re: Wire+Resolume: My recipe and workflow for getting best gradients

I made a shader in ShaderToy that demonstrates the use of Dither in Gradients. Top part is with Dither and bottom without, best to use the '[ ]' button to watch it fullscreen. You should be able to see the difference quite clearly. There is variable at the top which controls the amount of Dither btw...

Re: Wire+Resolume: My recipe and workflow for getting best gradients

Gradients are hard to get right. Especially if you need to compress the end result to a video file. And even if your compression is lossless there are various reasons why the the Gradient won't show without banding on screen. The best results i found so far is to add 'dither' to the gradient. It wil...

Re: DXV Preview's on Finder Mac " When ? "

Yes i like the idea of improving the File panel, especially now that you can undock the panels and use more screen space. More layout options for the File Panel would indeed be a nice improvement. So yes +1. Regarding the Finder previews, a long time ago DXV was just a QuickTime codec. So preview an...

Re: is it possible

Using a timeline and an envelope you should be able to toggle the 'bypass' parameter of the different Effects at different times. This can be done directly in Arena or Avenue.

In Wire this can done as well and the benefit would be that all the logic is tucked away in the patch.
