Smarter installer/Upgrade process OS-X

It would be nice if you spend a bit more time on your installer for Resolume. I can't say how many folders of Resolume I have in my applications folder and how often I get to a gig, click on Arena and start playing - with an old version of Resolume - and when I do realise and switch it doesn't have ...

Using Click Track instead of SMTPE

I'm trying to get sync from a click track from the drummer. Basically I just need to press play when the click starts.
Is there any way to actually do this from Resolume? Is there a 3rd party app that could sync this?

Scripting? Modules?

While I'm still attempting to switch from Modul8 to Arena a big thing I find missing from Resolume is the ability to script and design basic buttons and GUI elements. Some sort of customisable panel or panels that can be created by users. If we could extend Resolume ourselves it would surely only he...

Re: Support new codecs

I completely agree with basic playback support for MP4s. I've been supplied files for PB too often that are MP4 and all I need Resolume to do is play the file - no FX, no layers - just play the damn thing. Instead I have to take the file, recompress to DXV and often de-embed the audio so it'll play ...

Re: Review: Hands On with the Spark D-Fuser

"We're capable of running the entire show of one laptop with 8 layers of 1080p steamrolling along at 50 fps."

O RLY? How come my MacBook Pro and Arena has trouble running a single 1080 clip in sync with audio? What dark magic is your laptop made of?

Re: Analog Live Video Signal

I can't give you an exact number in as far as delay goes but it was acceptable IMHO. I started a thread a few years ago on the Garagecube site which has a good list of what does and doesn't work as a quicktime capture device which Resolume should also support. Stickygreen - I haven't used our DC60+ ...

Re: Analog Live Video Signal

You can do it relatively cheaply (at least on a Mac) using a DC60+ usb capture dongle which you can find on eBay for $10-20. You'll also need to buy a copy of VideoGlide ($30) to add the drivers and get it to appear in Resolume. The delay is minimal and totally usable for effected SD content. One pr...

Re: Retina Display GUI Support

I also agree the sarcasm is unnecessary. If R5 is still over a year away it will end up being over 2 years from the release of the Retina MacBookPro until a version of Resolume that supports it - and all we will have to get by is sarcastic comments from the devs (how will we survive!). All my issues...

Re: playing content from ssd hard disk

From my experience theres other things at play besides drive IO when it comes to playing a clip reliably in Resolume. USB3 with an SSD will be plenty fast enough to play a clip or two. If you're getting dropped frames you can (if on a Mac) can use Activity Monitors disk activity button to see the cu...

Normalise Clip setting.

It would be great if you could 'normalise' a clips size in an app wide fashion. At the moment if you load a lower/higher resolution clip it gets centred and with 100% scale. This catches me out quite regularly as I ofter use different compositions resolutions depending on the show. If would be great...
