advanced output kill the output/preview

Post by VjLuper »

hallo guys!
I'm trying to install resolume on a win7 computer with an AMD FirePro™ W600 graphic card
everything works fine till the advanced output is on "virtual device".
but as soon as I switch it to one of the display, the output monitor and the preview monitor stop to works

same thing happen if I set the output to fullscreen (but not if I set fullscreen in my principal monitor)

any idea how to solve this?

The w600 is a pretty weak card but it supports openGL so you shouldn't have an issue with that.

Sadly amd drivers do alot of funny stuff, i always had alt tab make resolume blink several times when i had a 7970.
I would try several generations of drivers, usually you gotta look for the sweet driver version with resolume and AMD.

Yes, AMD drivers are notoriously buggy and it can be a hit or miss relationship with Resolume!

When you click on the link, you'll see on the left of the screen a link for "Previous FirePRO/GL/MV Drivers and Software" and here it is just in case you don't find it:

hey this is weird. I tried using an external monitor instead of projector, and it works cool.
Problem is just with the projector, make any sense for you?

Yes, sounds like weird drivers. AMD would do wacky shit to Resolume like that for me.

We haven't heard of any problems on single AMD cards for a while. To be honest, I doubt this is a driver issue.

Have you checked your Windows Desktop Scaling and made sure it's set to 100%?

Scratch that. I re-read the original problem. When the preview monitors stop working, this is indeed a rendering/driver problem, not a problem with Desktop scaling. My apologies.
