AKAI APC40 MKII Crossfader

Post by VJH0 »

Hello All!

I am currently having difficulties with my A/B buttons on my AKAI controller. I would like it so that when I press the 'A/B' button on the controller, it scrolls between 'A , B and Off' . I would like this to correspond with the colours ' Orange, Yellow, and Off' So that I can see which layer is on what channel by a quick glance at the controller.

I am able to get it to scroll through all 3 by MIDI mapping 'Select next item' on A. However, I cannot get the buttons to change colours as I scroll. Am I missing something? Any help would be mightily appreciated as it would be so nice to simply look down at the controller and know what belongs where simply by looking at the colour of the button.

Many thanks!! :D

I can get the colors to work with only A/B by mapping them as duplicates, but doesn't seem to be possible to do this currently with A/B/OFF indeed.
Feedback also breaks for other multi option toggles.

The issue is that every shortcuts sends it's OFF status feedback, overriding the other shortcut.
We'll check what we can do to improve this.
