Using 3rd party FFGL plugins on Mac OS Big Sur

Post by gpvillamil »

I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to Mac OS Big Sur.

When I started Resolume Arena 7, I got a warning about software from an unknown developer, namely the 360 VJ plugins. No matter what I did, Resolume would then fail to open.

I eventually moved the plugins to a different folder, after which Resolume opened correctly.

However, I would like to be able to use these plugins. What is the process for "whitelisting" them so that they will run?

Launching unsigned programs a few times on Catalina, eventually got OSX to show the program in the Security settings. Not sure how that works with plugins though, but maybe worth a check.
Maybe the plugin dev knows how to do it?
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
