Ableton Live - MIDI Note Number Offset

Post by pw144 »

Hello there,
Am I missing something obvious, or is there a reason why there's an offset by a factor 3 in how Ableton will Map MIDI to Resolume?

(e.g. B2 in Live equates to B-1 in Avenue)

note numbers are different in different apps. this is true for music as well as VJ apps.

I'm building spreadsheets to keep track of what note in Live relates which note in Avenue, but phew it would great to have a global offset, - even if only on a composition-by-composition basis.

An offset would be good or a way to manually enter the midi values so does not have to learn everyon of them.
