one projector, two videos, must be sequential

Post by backfolder »

Hi all!

Well, I´m wondering how to make the next thing using resolume 4 arena.
I have only one projector, need to show two videos, it must be sequential, so I´m gona use Autopilot for play first video A and then video B.
Video A specs are: 1280x720 with audio.
Video B specs are: 720x576 with audio.
Video A must have 3 slices and must be shown on the Bottom Half of the screen.
Video B must have 1 slices and must be shown on the Top Half of the screen.
So when video A fisnish downside, video B start upside.

I have some questions:
- Which is the best output resolution for my project? I suposse the bigger 1280, or the projector maximum (I think is 1024).
- How can I organize Screen and Slices to fit video A and video B in my proyect? I have actually all mixed, and I don´t know how to assign each one.

If video A width (1280) is a problem I can converto to lower resolution (720).

Can you help me please?

Thanks in advance.

Could you give us a bit more information about what you mean by Slices?

why not just comp the 2 videos together in after effects, so it is laid out correctly?

Maybe post a picture on how your layout should look like. What you could do of is set the position of each clip independantly. So when clip A finished playing it will play clip B and clip B is positioned differently than clip A.
Youn just need to figure out a proper composition size that fits the two clips and reposition the clips if neccesary in the Advanced Output.
