Ascii Art FFGL Plugin

Post by yochee »

hi there,

i wonder if theres is any ascii art plugin for FFGL? I liked it very much in R2, but still missing in R3 :)

btw. is there any collection of FFGL plugins out there? at  http://freeframe.sourceforge.net/ they only list ff 1.0 plugins..

bart & edwin, wouldnt it be possible to make a page at resolume.com to list plugins (maybe even for sale?) that work with reso, something like the footage section!?

cheers, yochee

Visual Jockey got this effect within it.I think it was called " Enigma".

VJO has some awesome fx, but too bad development has been abondoned. Still available without any interactive support.

Only if they turned all its effects into ffgl plugins, we would have so much fun . VJO Gold / Karma was mind bending and truly interactive.

The ASCII art was simple to do in FreeFrame (the non GL version) it's much harder now to get it working (quick enough) in OpenGL. Maybe we could revamp the ASCII art and bring it to a higher level. I think it's still a classic.

Got my vote. :D Do it.

I usually refrain from making requests, but I heard the word "could".

Arena is huge for Resolume, but the effects area could need more attention.

keep up the cool works

not directly in Res but you could always create some outside of the app and bring the clips in :)

yea! thx to all of you for your ideas and suggestions. I also think its a really cool oldschool effect next to dots effect / Point Grid . would be neat to have ascii fun again.
