Hi guys, I'm fairly new to resolume so very inexperienced and hoping you guys could assist.

All I would like to do is use resolume for making music videos essentially.

I have looked at the audio reactive video training guide but I don't think I quite got the answer I'm looking for. All I would like to do is link the song to the deck and have the different columns change between one another after a certain time period or after a certain beat drops in the song.

Also, I have the music file that is a .MOV file, how can I link this to all of the columns? I tried inserting the song in one of the column layers but obviously then nothing else on that layer can play if the song is taking up that slot to play the whole song or the song will simply stop of I try move to the next column.

I'm really just trying to link it all together without needing to be too technical I suppose, but I'm open to suggestions

I hope this makes sense and any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks a lot :)

You can have the layer of the song ´ignore colom triggers´... so the clip keep playing when triggering different colloms..

"automatic trigger clips" is for me the Autopilot feature. This is possible as a layer feature to play the next clip
Its not possible to have the autopilot trigger coloms (long topic and not that easy ;) )

Then there are 2 ways to have effects react to your music. Either direct listening to the external audio ffgl
source, or use the bpm feature (manual set the bpm) and do some bpm synced stuff.

Play the audio file inside resolume can can be done, but when you want to have ffgl audio reactive effects you´ll need to route the audio out and in again to use it as trigger. (cable loop)
For testing and playing around maybe, for final recording i would recomend to play the audio somewere else route it through your arena system and record the output on a aditional device.
