single frame advance from midi?

Is there a way to advance a series of stills and/or a movie by one frame every time a midi note is triggered? I.E., I don't want the movie to play through, I'd like it to advance one frame every time I say, hit the high hat on a drum synth.

nice idea! edwin is cooking us a nice way how to program this in an effecient way

we make it adjustable so you can set how many frames it should jump ...

oops I sent the last message too soon...What about a way to advance "x" frames with one trigger and have it go back "y" frames with another. It seems that this would be an awesome visual! Snare steps forward, high hat steps back, or something like that...Am I asking too much? You guys really are great. Thanks, Kevin

yess we will add a foreward, backward option for this ... can't promise anything but we,ll try to put in into 1.1 ...
