Re: HELP!!! PRO TOOLS + RESOLUME
Do you only want to sync the BPM of Pro Tools and Resolume?

Re: HELP!!! PRO TOOLS + RESOLUME
Because it's urgent....here you have one solution to sync the Pro Tools BPM via Midiclock with Resolume...
First, u need some Hardware...
maybe your Pro Tools guy already own a internal or external mididevice...in that case you can use this device too...But here you are if he don't own one...

U need two of these external mididevices..

http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Uno.html
- Plug each device into the Resolume PC/Mac and the ProTools computer...
- Install the midi devices drivers on each computer...
- Connect the Midi-OUT-Plug ProTools with the Midi-IN-Plug Resolume
- Goto the midi preferences of each software...and confige the M-Audio Midi Device
-> Protools = Send Midiclock via M-Audio mididevice (Clock-output)
-> Resolume = Receive Midiclock via M-Audio mididevice (Clock-input)
I'm not shure if u have to enable a general midiclock-out in Protools too... just try.
Shure, there are many other devices on the market which work the same way...I hope that helps?

Re: HELP!!! PRO TOOLS + RESOLUME
If i don't make mistake bpm synchro isn't made to synchronize audio with video 'you can't set the position of the video with the position of the timeline of protools.
As resolume work with triggering clips,the only way to synchronize is making midi notes in your prottols timeline
at the time you want to trig differents clip (you'll have to plug your computer with the midi interface but you can also use network to drive midi with a midi2lan app).
the restriction of triggering clip is the incapitibility of sending a new position when you stop a linear playing.

Re: HELP!!! PRO TOOLS + RESOLUME
Why not? Shure!bpm synchro isn't made to synchronize audio with video

For example:
Take a 1 min. clip / Set it to BPM Sync and set it to 60 Beats
If your are receiving a Midiclock it will run in sync to the clock which should depend on the Audio BPM of the other software.
To trigger the right clips at the right time you can send additional Midinotes from the other software..like you wrote before.

Re: HELP!!! PRO TOOLS + RESOLUME
what is the interest of bpm synchro in this case ?
If you send a midi note at the begining of the sound and the sound have the same time than your video clip .
You can stay in timeline mode isn't it ?
