Longer Power Cord for my projector?

Post by MUDDUX »

Hello,

I'm searching right now for a longer ac power input for my projector. 15-feet would be perfect.

100-240v 50-60Hz/3.0A is what is on the back of it

Any help thanks

Don't know where you are, but if you're in North America, Monoprice has you covered.

Hmm... I don't know how important having the exact correct ac or voltage is. i lost the original power cord that came with the projector but I need a longer one anyway.

???...it's only a power cord you place between the powerplug and your projector
.....its standardized.

hmm... yeah but i once fried a guitar pedal by plugging the wrong ac adapter into it, probably apples to oranges but i'm just being careful.

also i lent my projector out to another vj friend who's now my roommate i think last summer. pretty sure i handed it to him with the power cable but got it back without one.

so it's good to use pretty much any power cord that fits into my projector? that's good to know i just was unsure and didn't want to learn the hard way by frying or overheating something

apples to oranges is right. the key there is "A/C adapter", as in converting D/C to A/C or is it the other way around? either way, no conversion going on with just a power cord, it just moves the current from the plug to the device ;)
