DXV and Converters

Postby Tschoepler on Thu Jan 28, 2010 21:30

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it was possible to implement the DXV codec in freeware such as MediaCoder (http://www.mediacoderhq.com). My problem is I haven't found a way to batch convert via Quicktime. Using Adobe Media Encoder = And firing up After Effects or Premiere seems to be a bit overdosed to me ;) How do you convert numerous files to DXV?

best,
j

i batch convert in after effects. the DXV codec should be available in any software thats being used on a machine with DXV installed.

ok_that's what I did so far. Guess I'll have to stick with that.
DVX codec is not available in any software_unfortunately. mediacoder, vlc, ffe, win media player  . vlc for example shows me all the quicktime codecs except DVX.
maybe I need to get deeper into the ffmpeg console...

Is there any list of DXV-compatible video converter softwares?

I've experienced problems using DXV under Adobe Premiere CS4 (Adobe Media Encoder), posted here:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6321#p24049

and I'd like to test with something different but, as Tschoepler said, many free softwares seem not to support it...

Thanks :)

VJair-I'm thinking of getting After Effects, and part of the reason would be DMX conversion. Do you know if it imports WMVs?
