Drag In and out time range

Post by johnj »

Hi Folks,
It would be very nice to be able to drag a in and out time range of a clip.
To explain further.
You may have spent a while tweaking a time range of a clip so that it plays back and loops nicely with the tempo of a track.
You now want to play another portion of the source clip but over the same number of frames.
As far as I can tell presently this is only possible by readjusting the in and out points again.
This would be a very musical feature to have, and is implemented in a lot of other aplications.
Flowmotion is a fine example of a vj tool that has this feature.
Neuro mixer is another, even good old MyTime had this way back in 2000.
Having said that I must also add that Reso2 rocks :)

same wish here! you can TAP the In and Out points by counting 4 beats and have a pretty precise time loop that goes with the beats! ...

and it's nice to loop the first part and slowly drag the in and out points to the right, so piece by piece you get to see the rest of the video sample, it's a progressive thing :)

good idea

er i think what your asking for can already be done, press and hold SHIFT and click on the in or out point markers, then drag.

Not at home to try so just to confirm, this drags both in and out points simultaneously?

'tap-in' and 'tap-out' would be great though.
