WASD keys

Post by Grimm90 »

Maybe i've been gaming too much lately , but i caught myself trying to use the WASD keys to navigate around my composition while setting up for a gig.
Then i tought , how cool would that be ?
Like if you could control your horizontal/vertical comp scrollbars with WASD or arrow keys , other hand on the mouse ready to strike.

Side request here , something that gets met often and last weekend i missed it all the time : the "scrollers" on the scrollbar are sometimes really hard to see.

We vj's get in akward light conditions where you are constantly switching bright surfaces , dark moments , screen time. It's like a retina workout sometimes :geek:

The slightly brighter dark scroller on the dark scrollbar can be hard to catch in the midst of rapidfire VJ'ing.
I like dark UI and all, but practicality first for me..

that doesn't work for me , 2 akai controllers are completely mapped & still not enough button / fader real estate :( Also , i like to sometimes have really a lot of columns instead of seperate decks , the sensitivity on the fader would be too fine i think :/

The scrollbar is where the relative dial marked 'cue level' on the APC40 really shines

true , but not everyone has a APC40 or even a midi controller , or you just don't have it with you.
In big comps with 20+ layers & 50 columns , this could really help me build my composition faster
