An adjustable minimum-range shelf for the audio spectrum in each frequency band would be helpful. (Raising the gain can "leak in" unwanted frequencies. A shelf would clip off all the unwanted stuff below it. Great for guitar solos.)

Or maybe a high-pass/low-pass filter per line in the visual spectrum?
