blocks/groups in Advanced Output

Post by Godzil »

would be useful the possibility of joining few slices in one block for further manipulating. now we have to select slices one by one to just move them or something. and to select them again and again to make something else

I'm not following? In Advanced Output I typically have 10-30 "dummy" screens with no output but just various creatively placed slices. Then inside of Resolume I just drag a screen into slice transform to get the look I want. Is this not what you're sort of looking to do?

Yep. locking few selected slices in one group/block.

Wouldn't it be easier to duplicate those slices in a new screen and then just drag in the screen, rather than grouping or locking slices inside the slice menu? Also having them in their own screen gives you the ability to change position and size on the fly if you need it

i'm not getting the same results using slices as with advanced output on one screen. maybe i'm not managing slices that well, maybe missing something. but for now AO is more comfortable for me.

It should be 1:1. I would just copy and paste your slices you want to group into a new screen. since it's a copy and paste everything should be 1:1.
If you would like me to make a small video demonstrating this, I could get to that later on today. lmk :)

Here's a quick video on how to group slices using dummy screens in advanced output. Hope this helps :)
