APPLE MAC OSX AND RESOLUME? WHEN???

Post by junes-djandvj »

hi all !
i 'm in a french house music group : JUNES
so we're working on MAC OSX because apple is the best hardware for sound ever ! ableton live , cubase , logic5 etc etc... and mac machines are ultimate computers...
but when i entered the world of vjing , mac osx already had its own VJ softwares but none satisfyed me ... and i found RESOLUME !!
but RESOLUME cannot be installed on a MAC !

so i'm wondering two things :
- does resolume 3 (for exemple) will have a MAC OSX version ??
- if not , does anyone already installed it on a mac where windows is installed? (now it's possible with the mac intels... )

please let me now !!! express your self !! lol :P

see ya

hi junes-djandvj,
resolume will not run on osx in the near future. So i would not wait for it.
But what you can do (and what i did) is buy a intel mac and install windows and osx next to each other. I'm running resolume on my macbook pro without any problems and it runs smooth. So in the end i have the best of both worlds. A very nice looking machine running windows and osx.

Cheers
Edwin

Yeah for now you will need to use a scan converter to get TV out support.

I also use Resolume on a MBP. I like it alot, I would rather have it run native on OSX but I guess thats ok for now. I had a questions about video output, currently I have to use direct DVI connection in windows, the apple adapter: TV & VGA both don't work under windows.

(although i have had sucess connecting a CRT monitor with the VGA adatper, but not LCD moniotros or Projectors)

I just wanted to see what solutions people are using or is DVI the only answer right now. I don't really know anything about scan converters. what kind do I need and how does it work?
