yes the audio in flash files is played by resolume ... but this is more a bug then a feature 
you do not have any control over the volume or pitch.
i,ve posted our thoughs about audio playback in resolume in a thread before:
(we do not think it is a good idea because the interface is not designed for video AND audio playback)

We are going to build a seperate application that is designed specific for AV ... we allready have a basic engine running where we can pitch audio/video and mix two videos with a crossfader. but it,s still a long way from a finished product.
