take a look at http://monster.netzteil.at/react.htm it's a midi based resolume controller, it will be available mid/end of march if you can wait this long.

I want mine to glow in the dark ;)

one question: are all the buttons, nobs and the fader going to be assignable like a normal midi device?

We are still workin a prog so that you can reconfigure, the midi layout (called a patch i think).
The Software of the box will be upgradeable, and we will add a USB module to the box (hopfully in autum). There will also be an addon with two analog PC joystick ports and a Digital I/O for your own input devices (this will arrive hopefully in summer).

The box will be black by the way :)
Custom color would be possible, but you would have to wait very long - and it would be NTSC (never the same color *grin*)

Sorry no price yet. We are still waiting for the final case and board.
We are as tense as you are :)

if you are interested here's a link to our older, pre prototype, version, which works very well. http://www.playground.cc/node/30

The Numeric pad on the lower right corner of the uc-33 are assignable midi notes.
For assignable options there are a total of:
14 buttons
9 faders
24 rotary dials

I would recommend the Behringer midi controllers
http://www.resolume.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=888

same price more buttons : )

I own both behringer units and the UC-33.
(if you want a used one I will sell it for $100 (US) plus shipping) works fine... I like the Behringer units more.
