Hey all,

I am wondering if my Matrox Triple-Head (DisplayPort Edition) actively converts signal from DisplayPort to HDMI/DVI/VGA or if active adapters need to be bought for each conversion.

Thanks.

I used this one with passive DP to HDMI adapters.
DVI should work too but i never tested with the 3H DP.

It tested DP to DVI with a passive adapter only with the DP output of my Notebook.

Never adapted the DP to VGA. The times i was on VGA i had a Digital Edition wich has DVI Outputs.
These i adapted to VGA also with passive adapters.

you'll definitely need active converters for VGA.

you should be able to use cheap chinese mini DP to HDMI/DVI converters, but I haven't tested them on the DP edition.

(the Digital Edition has both the VGA signal and Analogue and digital DVI on its output, you you can use passive adapters with it for VGA, and HDMI)
