Midi controller

Post by daxx »

Hi,
I'm planning to buy a midi controller myself to use in resolume.
But since the resolume react midi controller is out of sale. I can't buy that one:)
Which other controllers do you guys advise?

Does anybody have experiences with the M-Audio X-Session Pro USB MIDI Controller? It's a very cheap one ($130), can be a good choice for beginers.

I'm not sure the M-Audio X-Session Pro would be very good for resolume as it is laid out like a dj mixer and is designed for use with dj software like Traktor. I have the Evolution X-Session which is the older version which I would recommend as a cheap controller as it has 16 knobs, 10 buttons and a crossfader and is laid out much better for non-specific software, plus it might be really cheap if you can find one. Other than that the Behringer BCR2000 always gets pretty good reviews, has alot of controls and is also quite cheap, probably not much more than $130.

Yes, Codanova VMX VJ is looking pretty swift with resolume and Modul8 for anyone with Mac. Im PC all the way though, I used Mac's and there so over rated. Posh persons play thing imo.

Anyways, i got someones layout on the VMX VJ which seems pretty solid, Im ordering on monday as the ReAct controller is just taking WAY too long unfortunitly. Here are the pics:-
