My new laptop: ALTERNATE 18CL33 Extreme II ~ please comment

This will set me back € 2.228,90 so i want to be sure that Resolume will run smooth as silk on this baby. If someone else has a better idea... please share

also: Mac is not an option for me at the moment, I would like one in the future but now I need a PC

wow sounds excellent! you'll have no probs with any resolutions and also having the ssd will be brilliant for you you'll get a nice fps, probs 60 the whole time! would be nice to have. remember to encode using the DXV codec. The file sizes are large but the picture quality is excellent! have fun vjing!

Hi - I'm a Resolume newbie - but have many video and max/jitter experiences. At the moment I've big performance problems with my laptop - WinXP pro - Intel Core 2 Duo - CPU 2.0 GHz, RAM 4GB, HD 320GB and GPU nVidia GeForce 9600M GS (which needs CPU power for rendering). So - when I give the signal to the outside, the frame rate collapses on 10.2 fps

My question: Are you happy with the machine so far, then I'll get even with the fact ALTERNATE?!

I'm no expert but I think you'll have no troubles at all with this one. I'm runnign resolume with comps of only 800x600, but I'm using a 600€ Fujitsu Siemens Laptop and it runs perfectly smoothly with 5-6 Layers and tons of effects
