Opening Arena 7 files using Arena 6

Post by lighting123 »

Hi Resolume friends.

I figured I'd ask on here before trying it, but I'm wondering what it looks like to open Arena 7 .avc files using Arena 6. Is that possible?

Arena 7 compositions are not compatible with Arena 6, but Arena 6 compositions should work in Arena 7 via the Composition menu, Open file dialog.

Hello. I wanted to jump back in here and see if this is still the case. I've found that Arena 6 opens a .avc file that was created in Arena 7. However, since both 6 and 7 are on the computer, is that why?

Or are 7 files now compatible with 6?

The base XML format hasn't changed that much yet so some things might still work in v6. But it's not guaranteed to be kept that way, so don't build a workflow on this ;)

No, and they won't be either, especially with new features coming.
