Avenue 7.15 Crashes

Post by jazzyrice »

Hey Resolume Forum.

I've just purchased a license after using the trial but when I come to play the videos Resoume Avenue just crashes. Sometimes it will play for 30 seconds before bombing out. I just downloaded it yesterday so it's the most up to date version.

It's using about 4 layers. One shape as a mask and 3 mov files.
It's also using external FFT (VB Audio Voicemeeter) to change some variables.

I don't have the best spec PC (Windows) - I've got it set to 720p.
It doesn't hit any limits when playing.

3.6GHz i5 8600K
16GB Memory
Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8 GB

Is there anything I can do to try and diagnose the issue?

Cheers.

Thanks for the crash report,
Looks like the GPU driver crashes.
Try going back a few versions with the AMD GPU driver to something form 2022.
You can also try disabling DMA textures in the Resolume video preferences.

I reverted the drivers back to 2022 and turned off DMA Textures but I still have issues. I sent a couple of reports in.

Thanks still the same reports.

You have Driver Version: 4.1.0 Core Profile Context 23.4.2.221025 that's from 2023.

I'm not sure what that relates to. See the attached image of the RX 580 drivers.

Hi Zoltán,

I uninstalled all Radeon drivers and software, rebooted and reinstalled with the 2022 Q4 again and it might be working ok now.

I'll let you know if I have any more problems with it.

Cheers.

Resolume crashed

Sorry to be vague, I don't know what happened. I was doing a set I've done before with no problems. What happens to the error file sent? Does someone come back to me?

Try going back with your AMD drivers to something from middle of last year.
Disabling the DMA textures in Resolume Video preferences could also help.

DMA is forced off and the drivers are the latest 2022 drivers as setup from my previous post:

Is there anything in the crash report that could help me?
