one thing i forgot: using optimized clips in proper formats can be the cheapest of all thinkable performance boosts, as it may help more than some additional mghz.

a handy midi controller is really recommended. i tried an evolution uc-33 wich is not ideal for resolume, still it is cool and you can work much faster and more spontaneous as when using a laptop alone. really worth a try.

i agree with danger, RAM is not such an issue. when using 320x200 to 640x480 process resolutions i cant tell any difference between 512MB or more. even 512MB is sufficient. CPU cant be fast enough, although dual cores do not really help, resolume seems to single threaded. Desktop HDDs with fast seek ...

as far as i experimented the theoretical throughput of the used interface is not the limiting factor when using external drives. the maximum amount of bandwith used when playing three mjpeg clips stays well under the max. throughput of an usb 2.0 interface.

distance projector -> surface?

Thanks!
i guess its a good thing if the lens of the projector is quite wide when using a see through screen, because space behind the screen is often quite short. do you or does anybody know particular projectors that are handy in that kind of scenarios?

Video Projector specs for small venues.

Dearest Resolumers, we are thinking about using Resolume for a on stage Live Act and are thinking about buying a Video Projector for venues where no video is available. Does anyone have any idea what the minimum specs for such a device would be? I guess we are talking about venues for up to 300 ...

I would like to use some VJing Software in the following scenario: The VJ is on stage and uses a laptop to perform. He gets two live video feeds, one from stage, one from the sound engineers position at his mixer behind the crowd.
