I had this problem for ages and it drove me nuts, but found the solution posted in a different forum thread:

When I switched my display to 16bit colour (instead of 32bit), as suggested by igraq in that thread, it totally fixed the deck loading ...

Works for me too! (whereas restarting didn't always do the trick)

More importantly it has also fixed a load of other 2.41 bugs I was experiencing (in particular, the one where it starts fine but then stops being able to load up decks)
