Re: Freeze/hiccup/hang at transitions

Sorry, we were hosting a lot of folks for Mardi Gras

It always goes back to 90-95%, freezes/hangs/hiccups at transitions. So if I had, say, 384gb of RAM, would it still go to 90-95% and freeze?

And no, it seems pretty much fine (maybe a freeze on occasion) until the RAM goes up to 90-95%.

Re: Blending Mode Definitions

Have to say, been struggling with Blending Modes for awhile. I re-read the definitions in this post often but the one thing that just flipped the light bulb off was this: "Add - Mix the video so that at 50%, the layer is added to the input." After I re-read that for I don't know how many t...

Re: Prevent layer references from changing with new layer insertions?

Just some kind of lock as an option so that every time I want to experiment, follow a thought through and see what happens, I don't have to weigh what will be learned against the time it will take to search for every layer reference and put it back.

Re: Groups in Avenue

Well, so I'm an audio guy. How I route signals and the architecture I create to route signals helps me be creative. Without getting into minutiae, my music making setup is extremely complicated in terms of design, but it allows me to turn everything on and be making creative new and complete music i...

Re: Freeze/hiccup/hang at transitions

Looked at it about an hour ago, had gone down to about 45%, from 70% when it started. Looked at it just now, still about 45%.

Re: Groups in Avenue

Be able to group layers together and effect only those layers. You can only group one set of layers with Video Routers.

Re: Freeze/hiccup/hang at transitions

Well, let's see. Just rebooted, restarted everything, turned off midi input. Will check in an hour or two, see where memory is at.

Re: Groups in Avenue

All of those other features appear to be for folks who VJ shows, especially multi-projector shows, thus why it is called Arena. Right? They probably easily pay for the license with one show. The only feature on there that I could see useful in my little modest experimental hobby one-projector projec...

Groups in Avenue

500 Euro is a ridiculous amount to pay if the only feature in Arena that I would find useful is Groups, especially for two licenses (laptop and desktop). Is there any way this feature can be added to Avenue?

Re: Prevent layer references from changing with new layer insertions?

Bumping. Really need to be able to lock layers. Video Routers are such a creative tool that is hindered by having to redo every Video Router just for inserting one new layer. Really kills the creative vibe.
