Or maybe this is a solution... at least it doesn't require you to install anything. You could use your own computer next to the one off the venue and send your output through NDI/syphon or spout to that machine...

I would make some masks of the letter, just as a PNG and put them on your top layer (or the top of your b letter group). The way Arena works means that you always have to use layers.... You have to always put a clip on a layer.
