Re: Iphone Footage to Resolume

Wish they would use industry standards like the rest of the industry... omg. I think you’re serious!? That’s funny! EDIT: Oh wait. I see what you mean now. It's not the 10-bit HEVC that's a problem. And, it's not the Dolby Vision 8.4 that's a problem. Both are industry standards endorsed by Google ...

Re: virtual display outputs

is there support for some kind raw pixel data protocol (like dmx but less compat glue) or lightly packet protocols (like mjpeg stream)? Interesting question. The answer is, of course, no, unless Syphon meets your requirements. But, it’s dying or maybe already dead as the world has moved on. Uncompr...

Re: Big problem with Avenue

HI: Thank you for helping! Here's what you asked for, please explain the situation looking it through the results. Thanks for sharing! I really asked for my own curiosity, because I found out about that Video Codec Test app after I sold my Intel MacBook a while ago. So, looks like, at ~600fps, you ...

Re: Big problem with Avenue

Just curious.. if you run the Ben Software Video Codec Test https://www.bensoftware.com/videocodectest/ on your 2019 MacBook Pro, what are the results of the Decode H.265 2K test? As a frame-of-reference, my 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro can decode 2372 fps when the internal hardware encoder box is checke...

This is not how frame syncing works. The way you are describing just syncs the two Up down cross converters with each other the input to them is totally unaffected.
Have you tried it?

Re: multiscreen stuttering problem

I don't know if it would work, but you could try syncing the outputs of your Nvidia GPU with (1) Blackmagic Sync Generator and (2) Blackmagic UpDownCross HD converters.

No idea if that will work to sync the outputs, but it's the only thing that comes to mind.

Re: New Macbook

The new M1 does not have 64GB dediated video memory. It has unified memory which is shared across CPU and GPU Right. I probably could have phrased it differently, like this: the new M1 Max has 64GB of unified memory, which, subtracting for memory utilized by the CPU, which is generally well under 8...

Re: NDI HX(2)

You can use Newtek NDI 5 Bridge on Windows to transcode Full NDI to NDI HX2 for free... so there's not much of an incentive for application developers to go through the headaches of doing this.

Enjoy!

Re: Color Fringes with DXV

I work in filmmaking, but am not an LED wall expert. Arvol is and will chime in. A couple of thoughts: (1) I am of the opinion that even the 10-bit version of HAP isn't good enough for this. (2) 8-bit DXV is definitely not good enough for this. (3) It's not just the file format. It's the software, h...
