FrameRates. DXV3 files. Still images

Post by brainpaint »

helllo, I am having some pretty basic questions here on using DXV3. I am switching up a majority of my style into not using so much video and focusing on image manipulation of very high rez still imagery. My orig. files start at anywhere from 1920x1080 and go up to 4000x4000, i try not to exceed that resolution. from there i open the file with QT7-pro and codec it into a DXV3.mov file at 1280x720 that has one frame. when i pull it up in resolume, the file is moving like its one randomizer, i usually just pause it and go from there....

My two questions are 1. Should i be using smaller resolution photos in the beginning before i start this process?? and 2. Am i doing the 1 frame thing correctly?

Resolution is not allways an issue.
But I´ll try to avoid a single frame movie.
Even whenever working with stills, I usually create a one sec still movie.
If you wish, try 5, 10 frames... perhaps its better.
