Select and Play with Keyboard?

Post by cosmowe »

Hey there,
it feels a bit strange to ask :) but I cannot find the solution.

I want to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to "select" a clip in a layer. And I want to hit "Num0" to play the selected clip.

Optional: When clip is selected, output should be black instead of first frame.

Can someone give me a hint? :)

Best wishes

Ok... after more fiddling around with it I found a "MEH" workaround

You have to keyboard bind:

Right keyboard cursor TO CompositionPause
+
Right keyboard cursor TO LayerNextClip
+
Num0 TO CompositionPlayForward

The order is important. Otherwise you might see the first frame of the clip.

This seems to work in one direction but not for selecting clips backwards because I would need "Composition Pause" map to two different keys.

If anyone has a more elegant way... I am open to read it.

I can't seem to find an easy way to do this inside Resolume. I could find a way to do this inside Bomes or TD but tbh the thumbnail is good enough for me to know what each clip is. You might add a feature request for a next and previous clip preview as well as a clip connect and have that feature to be viewable as a toggle to keep people from getting confused within the ui.
