Constrain Feedback to a layer

Post by vjmandala »

Hi all, is there a way in Resolume to constrain a Feedback (source clip) to a particular layer. It seems when you fade in a Feedback source 'everything' gets fed back. I have tried groups, A|B, masking, no luck.

Just looking for some control.

Does Wire address this issue I wonder?

Feedback is a special source which takes the composition texture.

You can get a specific layer texture by using the Video router instead.
If you place a Video router set to All below onto layer 5, and place another video router to layer 1 set to layer 5, you can make feedback of the first 4 layers.

Trails effect might be also useful if you only want to do it on one layer or clip.

Yeah nice fix.. thanks Z.

I imagine using OSC I might be able to make it more versatile in a live situation by changing what clip 'Input' I want to feedback via Video Router.
