Newbie - Scrub to timestamps and cuelists

Post by Anthrolight »

Hi,

I'm a lighting engineer and new to resolume. I'm looking to run visuals for concerts, but I am a little overwhelmed with where to start, and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for what I am looking to do. I'm currently running this separately from my desk, but looking to eventually include Artnet control.

Currently I run video (before I bought Resolume) as one long clip for each song and jump to specific timestamps if the band are playing faster or slower.

Is there a way to:

a) Create a cuelist of video triggers to start clips or for various commands?
b) Jump to specific timestamps on a clip?

Cheers :)

If you have 1 Videofile per song:
Place all the videos in a layer behind each other.... you can trigger the colloms (extern as well) for each song... also you can have 1 dmx channel controlle the layer and the clips you play.

Controlling the clips:

The quick way to get the behaviour you know would be to use cue points and bpm sync....
https://resolume.com/support/en/video#cue-points

bpm sync can be adjust allways and live as well so you also can speed the video a bit and slow it down again, so you dont have ugly "jump cuts" inside the show....
