Moving clips without the mouse

Post by floSchwarz »

Hey guys :)

i am working on a visual show experiment where i don't want to sit directly in front of my computer. I want to record myself with a camera live input in different ways and make something like a splitscreen out of it controlling it with a wireless MIDI Controller.

Therefore i need the live recorded clips of me which will appear in Layer 1 in Layer 2,3,4,.... Is there any way i can programm a shortcut which cuts out or copies the live recorded clip in Layer 1, Column 2 into Layer 2 Column 1 without using the mouse.

Is that possible via OSC? I read through the example commands in your documentation and searched for the term "copy" or "cut" but didn't find anything.

Or is there a way to edit the recording function that it gets recorded everytime into a new layer?

Thank you so much for your help and have a nice day

You can set the clip start and end markers via Midi or OSC, but can't make a copy of that to another clip slot.
Recording only records currently to layer 1, into the first empty clip slot.
