Use UI's empty space click and drag to tweak values

Post by mrlupin »

it's a waste of space and time and focus to have to click on + or - then drag to change parameter values.
there could be an additional way to Quickly change values using the remaining space next to +/- buttons.

click and drag to the right to increase
click and frag to the left to decrease

or add sliders to the position & width

like a touch pad controller.
this could also benefit to touchscreens

it would be especially helpful and easier to move/scale elements.

When you're working the shows that I work, those -/+ buttons are worth every penny of their value.
I think having a slider next to them or as an expanded UI option would be nice, but I wouldn't want to loose the -/+ buttons, ever!

I never wanted to remove them but have wiser and additional ways to move and scale elements. which is the weakest point of Resolume's UI and UX tbh

Your phrasing of:
it's a waste of space and time
Made me believe you wanted to remove them. Just because you feel it's a "it's a waste of space and time" doesn't mean everyone does.

I'm all for adding a slider next to, or as a drop down function of these parameters. But I would NEVER call them a "waste of space and time" ;) ;)
