Gotta have that mobile option, can't do a gig without playing "cwazy cupcakes" during some point in the show
I would be sold if it was an actually a stand; so that you could record your performance while VJ'ing.

Hey Cosmowe, the Zoom ARQ AR-96 from the video you shared seems like a nice piece of gear with lots of potential for control and fun effects!

hey Oaky, :P
it looks nice...indeed...

All the clips I've seen so far of this controller are so meaningless or...hmm...maybe thats the wrong word...hard to describe...I would guess using this controller is like building a house of cards in the middle of a german Autobahn ;) ...How would you use it?

But...I will test it when I get my hands on.....we have a store near by which mostly have all the fancy new stuff released by big companys.... like Zoom

Best wishes

This seems like a good basis for a custom controller setup:

https://xkeys.com/xkeys.html

You can make custom arrays with lots of buttons: https://xkeys.com/xkeys/keys.html

The ones that incorporate analog controllers could be useful: https://xkeys.com/xkeys/analogs.html

I used one of these a long, long time ago with Resolume 2.41 (lower right, a 4x5 array that matched the clip grid):

Re: The freaky Midi / OSC-controller topic - searches&finds (DIY MPE-MIDI controller)

Post by visuelle.musik »

Hi, if anybody is interested in "getting their hands dirty" and building a MIDI controller of their own, here is a project I did some time ago. Originally it's intended as a controller for MPE (providing per channel MIDI-events, similar to a guitar-to-midi controller).
You either could use this out-of-the-box for certain tasks in Resolume, or take the hard- and software as a source of inspiriation for your own design? BTW: It uses the Arduino Framework with Teensy extensions, which I found a very nice environment to built such things!
