yes, crashes and crashes and freezing

Post by 10dier »

Hi,
I bought the Resolume (2.4) latest version for my company and (try) to work with.
It's always crashes or freezing, at any time. Impossible to work with.

Some details:
PC XP Professional, Dell Precision PWS690, ACPI Multiprocessor PC, Xeon CPU 3.20 Ghz, 3.00 GB of RAM, NVIDIA QUADRO FX 3500.

I tried to see on this forum, I tried to do the "debug" replace in a shortcut on my desk; still the same.

Any advice for me please?

See if you can get the prior release 2.3beta, it's far more stable I find. Some people seem to be using 2.4 with success, I can't seem to keep it open for long without it falling over, I find it unusable too.
I haven't had time to sit down and debug the problems I'm having with 2.4 but they exist on both my setups.
I would be interested to know how many people are still having problems with the new version and how many are not?
Did everyone with problems just give up on it?
Have any of these crashes been isolated, solved?
Is an update expected?

etc...

I,m gonna try in the next days a complete new setup with a new pc, latest drivers and ONLY Resolume on. On my "old" System i have the same Problems, but its possible that Resolume has Problems with the older Decks i Imported from 2.3(they crash the system sometimes while loading). But i´ll do the hard work, to set up complete new decks in 2.4. Post of the first test gonna follow.............

A clean computer setup is the ONLY way to have resolume running without crashes - thats my experience. Now its steady as a rock! (2.4)

now the setup is finished. Worked with the System now for 4 Events, no crash. Only some freeframe effects caused freezing (but sorry i really cant remeber which ones) Next Wekk i´ll try to get my old 2.3 Decks in 2.4..........I hope that this is not the Cause of Crashes, cause i had a lot of work with these around 130 Decks.........ill keep you updated
