controlling Resolume with MIDI notes?

Hi there,

I'm a Resolume newbie but a MIDI oldtimer. Sorry if this has been covered.

I'm trying to control aspects of Resolume 3 with MIDI notes from Ableton and elsewhere.
Seems like I can only get CCs to register during MIDI mapping.
Is that true, and so I have to convert using something like MIDIpipe? Or, is there a way to set Resolume to listen to MIDI Notes?

Also, being able to enter those notes via text would be lovely and so much faster. (But Ableton doesn't offer that either so I won't hold my breath.)

I think I answered by own question.

The MIDI notes I was playing were overrided by hitting "stop" in Ableton, so I kept getting the same CC message in my mapping every time I played my MIDI clip in Live but then pressed the space bar in Live before returning to the Resolume app.

Again, a way to just enter the MIDI notes in text would solve that...is there a way??

Also, I'm mystified as to why Resolume is transposing my incoming MIDI notes.
If I send D8 in Ableton, it gets set as D5 in Resolume
D7 gets turned into D4

I have MIDImonitor spying on my Ableton output and it registers that I sent D8, not D5

I can't figure out how to change the mapping to be D8 in Resolume.
