registration problem

I have purchased Resolume 3 box version and within the period of using it I had to reinstall Windows ( and this means also Resolume ) few times. While registering I received a message that the serial number had been used too many times. Could anyone explain this to me? Thanks

By default, an Avenue license can be used on three different computers. When you reinstall the OS and/or Avenue, our license server will think you've installed it on another new computer.

Please send a mail to support[at]resolume[com] with your name and license details, and we'll do our best to sort this out.

You can actually register Resolume three times with the serial you get after purchasing. This is because you might to reinstall your OS or when you buy a new computer. It's actually not meant to be installed on multiple computers at the same time. When you do need multiple computers running Resolume you'll have to buy additonal licenses. In the next release you will be able to unregister your serial so it's easier to migrate to another system without running into the limit.
