Whenever R3.3 is open, Adobe Bridge CS5 bombs whenever SWFs are being previewed.
If I repeat this operation without R3.3 running, Bridge does not bomb.
This is a real problem as I am trying to use Bridge as my media browser while Bridge is running. The crash dialog in Bridge shows the following info.
AppName: bridge.exe AppVer: 4.0.2.1 ModName: adobeswfl.dll
ModVer: 2.0.0.7489 Offset: 00011b57
Is it possible that the two apps are competing for some resource?
Thanks
Richard

Re: R3.3 Conflicting with Bridge CS5
Hmmm. Sounds like more CS5 issues. Gotta love Adobe. Thanks for reporting and we'll add it to the list. Strange that it worked on R3.2 though. Maybe one the fixes for the CS5 problems broke something else...

Re: R3.3 Conflicting with Bridge CS5
I've found Bridge to be the least stable of the Adobe apps! I can work around it for now.

Just to clarify original post - Bridge crashes when SWFs are being previewed in Bridge, not in R3.3, but again it seems to only happen when R3 is open at the same time.

Re: R3.3 Conflicting with Bridge CS5
In Bridge, open Preferences, go to the Advanced category, enable "Software Rendering" and restart Bridge.
Bridge seems to make some aggressive assumptions about the availability of an OpenGL render context.
If that doesn't work, and if you have recently updated to Flash 10.1, try disabling the hardware acceleration in Flash.
My guess is that it is actually an incompatibility between *Flash* and Resolume, the recent 10.1 update to Flash made it far more reliant on graphics hardware. Bridge uses Flash to play SWF.

Re: R3.3 Conflicting with Bridge CS5
Thanks ... crash still occurs with hardware rendering switched off in both Flash Player and Bridge. However, I thought Resolume used the Flash OCX (ActiveX player) - maybe I only disabled hardware accel. for the browser plugin, which I think is a different version of the Flash player?
Thing is that Resolume is not crashing - it's Bridge that's crashing but only when Resolume is running.

report the bug to Adobe then.
or just use CS4 bridge which works fine.

Re: R3.3 Conflicting with Bridge CS5
Hi guys
i'm working on a Seven 64bits system, with both Resolume 3.3 and Bridge CS5 installed,
i have no crashs with both programs running, and i can drag/drop between Bridge and Resolume,
either the bug does not concern 64 bits, or the problem is elsewhere ??
just trying to give maximum input

Re: R3.3 Conflicting with Bridge CS5
Early testing suggests this problem has been fixed (by design or by accident I don't know) with the most recent update to Bridge CS5 (4.0.3).
Looks good so far. Reproducing earlier crash conditions has not yet reproduced a crash.
